Calvin’s journey began in 2001 when he performed his first DJ set within Aberdeen’s largest commercial bar. Building from the early years to more recent times, Calvin has held residencies in multiple venues; from rowdy party bars to upmarket cocktail establishments to underground nightclubs to fine dining restaurants to festivals. Calvin’s DJ background is broad and diverse.

Specialising in Weddings

Calvin now specialises in weddings, and is currently the preferred DJ supplier to fouteen prestigious wedding venues across Scotland. He has become renowned for his ability to read a room, seamlessly blending and mashing up genres to keep the energy high and the dancefloor packed. His sets are dynamic, engaging, and always tailored to the vibe of the event. Calvin believes that each wedding is a unique experience, and his role is to provide the perfect soundtrack that reflects the couple’s story.

With hundreds of weddings & events under his belt, Calvin brings a wealth of experience to each celebration. I cannot even begin to thank Grant for all the amazing work he put into our wedding. From the beginning right up until the day and even after he was such a pleasure to work with and nothing was too much bother for him - even travelling all the way to Dumfries for our wedding. Calvin Haggis DJ'd our S6 leavers prom and honestly made the night. The dance floor was non-stop from start to finish — high energy the whole way through, everyone up dancing. He got the ceilidh going too, which had the whole year involved, even people who said they wouldn't dance! He also ran the award ceremony for us, sorting out the mics and keeping it all flowing smoothly between speeches and music. Grant was absolutely amazing from start to finish! We hired Grant for our wedding at Ardoe House hotel in May 2026 and Would highly recommend and anytime we have an event he will be my first call! If you are getting married or any type or event Grant is your man! Always in touch throughout has the app as well which makes it even more easy! Takes the stress of the day! I recently worked with Grant (Calvin Haggis) at a wedding and boy, what an organised guy he is! We worked so well together that it made the day an absolute breeze! Grant came to our garden party to DJ and done an amazing job. He was so helpful, fun and positive. Always willing to help and move around according to the weather. He was so thoughtful and considerate. He even noticed a song which we hadn't mentioned to him and he played that as the last song - it was very special. We always knew we wanted a DJ when we got married and we definitely made the best choice with choosing Grant. From our very first video call we felt so confident that he knew exactly the vibe we wanted for the day and boy did he deliver. We got married at Schivas Steading so after the ceremony we managed to get outside for a bit and Grant was able to move his equipment outside to keep the vibes up. The evening portion was slightly delayed through no fault of anyone except me but Grant was so accommodating and was totally chill about it. I don’t think there was much time in the evening when there wasn’t people on the dance floor, I know that if I was there I was on the dance floor. Grant (AKA Calvin Haggis) was absolutely incredible to work with! Not only did he take multiple calls with us leading up to the wedding to make sure we were happy with our playlist, schedule, and so on, but he gave us a great list of recommendations for places to see and do while we were in town! We hired Calvin Haggis for a firm event and he was fantastic! It was really a drinks reception so not really any dancing involved, but he picked the correct mix of background music to keep everyone entertained. Grant was truly wonderful! From planning to the day everything with Grant was seamless. Our day wasn’t quite what we expected due to some personal matters but Grant handled it so well. He was kind, considerate and did everything he could to make the day special. We sent him a playlist and everything he played based around that was fantastic.
